Note: This course is for learners who have completed the beginners course and are just moving into the Improver Level
Course Description:
Ukulele has become one of the most popular instruments to learn to play. The reason for this is that the Ukulele is the easiest instrument to learn to play and it is never to late to learn a new skill !
This course is designed to help each student get to grips with this popular instrument and learn the ukulele in a fun and exciting way.
Over the duration of this course, you will develop the skills to play different songs, by learning exercises to support your playing ability, You will learn to play individually and in a group focusing on building up your playing confidence..
This course is aimed at all levels and ages, whether you have a small bit of playing experience, or those who know a few chords and want to bring their playing to the next level. We will cover the following:
– How to tune and maintain your instrument
– Posture and positioning to hold your instrument
– Learning the key chords
– Learning the strumming techniques
– Learning to read tablature
Course Day & Time: Monday 6.30 – 7.30 pm
Start Date: 27/01/25
Cost: €90
Course Format: In class with tutor. Maximum of 10 students.

Tutor: Andrew Mahon LVCM (TD), AVCM. FVCM (Hons)
Andrew Mahon has been an avid guitar and ukulele player for over twenty five years playing for enjoyment and also professionally. Andrew attained his teaching Diploma from the Victoria College of Music, London and teaches in a number of schools in the North East region. Andrew is fully Garda Vetted and has also completed Children First Programme with Tusla.
