Course Description
Learn to tap dance to great music. Classic 80’s 90’s and 00’ Pop, Disco and Musical songs such as Hairspray, Mama Mia & 42nd Street.
Learn the basics in Tap Dance such as Heel /Toe taps, Shuffles, Flaps, Stomps & Stamps, Buffalo, Suzie q, step ball change and master the infamous Timestep!
Each class begins with a Tap warm up to great music. Master a new Tap step every week and 2 Tap routines per course, one to up to date music and one to the musical era.
Get fit, have fun, enjoy the music and get Tapping!!!!!
Course Day & Time: Monday evening 7.00 – 8.00pm

Course Format: In class with tutor (Maximum 10 students)
Duration: 8 weeks
Tap Shoes: Tap shoes are preferable but good comfortable flat or block heel shoes with no rubber soles can be worn. Tap shoes can be purchased from €20 – €25 from Danceworld.ie or movedance.com.

Tutor: Fiona Burrows
Fiona began dancing at the age of 7.
Under the tuition and direction of her Mother, a Royaletter from the Theatre Royal in Dublin, together they ran a Dance and Theatre school for children and adults.
Fiona choreographed professional shows for John Player Tops of the Town and won several awards for choreography for West Side Story, Up On Your Toes and Tops of the Town 1988.
Fiona has danced professionally in The Gaiety and Olympia Theatre Dublin playing lead roles as “ Anita “ in West Side Story, “Azuri” in The Desert Song with the R & R and performed with Russ Abbott, Bruce Forsyth and other celebrities in The Berkley Square Ball in London for HRH Prince Edward. She also danced as a member of the Dublin Dance Theatre of Ireland.
She appeared in several Caberet venues such as Clontarf Castle, Braemor Rooms and Jurys Dublin with Irish performers including Daniel O Donnell.
