Sports Taping and Strapping Techniques

Detailed 2 day workshop that covers all aspects of sports taping and strapping techniques including theory of taping, contraindications and safety issues, tape types and equipment needed etc. Stretch and non-stretch tape methods will be used on different areas and joints of the body for injury treatment as well as prevention. A brief introduction to Kinesio Tape will also be covered. To include the following:

• Foot taping to prevent/treat fallen arches
• Acute ankle sprain support
• Ankle instability taping
• Achilles tendon support
• Jumpers Knee support
• Vastus medialis re-education
• Knee collateral ligament support
• Figure of 8 support for the knee
• Sacro-iliac joint support
• Thoracic spine support
• Shoulder instability
• Tennis elbow
• Elbow hyperextension sprains
• Wrist strains
• Finger sprains
• Thumb strains

Time – Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm

Venue – IMST, Castletroy, Limerick

Course fees includes all tapes and bandages required, workshop certificate of attendance, manual of notes including pictures of step-by-step applications of taping techniques.
