The one-year Repeat Leaving Certificate programme provides students with an extensive range of subject options, empowering them to unlock their full potential and facilitating their progression to further education and higher education. Entry requirements

Students must have covered the Leaving Certificate programme over two years and recently sat the Leaving Certificate
Students whose first language is not English will be tested at entry

Interviews and Enrolments

All students are interviewed prior to acceptance on the courses and are expected to have clear objectives for repeating the Leaving Certificate
Applications may be submitted from January to September and Interviews commence in mid September
Students must present a copy of their Leaving Certificate results

Certificate Student Supports

The college offers a full Guidance Counselling service to all Repeat Leaving Certificate students. Referrals may be made by students themselves in any of the areas of education, careers, personal counselling. CAO & Study Skills Seminars are also offered throughout the year. Applicants for RACE, HEAR, DARE & SUSI are advised to meet with one of the Guidance Counsellors early in the year. Information meetings for parents are also held during the academic year.

Rathmines College offers personal attention and commitment to enable students achieve personal goals. At interview each student has the facility to avail of the guidance service to discuss and review subject choices and future planning.
