Aims

The Early Childhood Care and Education Level 5 full major award programme offers learners a comprehensive preparation for a career as an Early Years practitioner in a variety of ECCE settings.

Entry Requirements

A minimum Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate standard of education. Mature applicants with relevant life/work experience. Proficiency in English language with a strong interest in the provision of quality care and education for children.

Continuous Assessment

Students need to complete 110 hours of work practice in an ECCE setting.

Continuous assessment including practical skills demonstrations and 1 written examination.
