The Professional Dog Grooming Assistant Certificate course has been designed for two purposes.
Firstly, this course contains quite a bit of very important information on the basics of dog grooming. Many students complete this course and then progress on to our Professional Dog Grooming Stylist Advanced course. By completing this course prior to the practical course we can get stuck in to the practical side of grooming straight away as all students will then be on the same level when it comes to the basics of dog grooming.
Secondly, this course is a fantastic course if you are interested in pursuing work as a dog grooming assistant. Many dog groomers spend the vast majority of their time carrying out the basics such as nail clipping, ear cleaning and washing and drying. By hiring a dog grooming assistant they can skip this time consuming stage, allowing the parlour to take many more bookings, increasing revenue, allowing the groomer to focus on styling, and justifying the employment of a dog grooming assistant.
This is a six week distance learning course and is delivered through webinars, reading manuals and demonstration.
