Course description
This course provides knowledge and experience of the design process, and combines creative ability with technical skills. There is a strong focus on project work with an emphasis on learning by doing. The work produced will be presented as a portfolio to enable you to progress onto further studies or employment in the product design field.

Students who successfully complete all 8 subjects will be awarded a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Design (5M2208).
Assessment is based on assignments and projects submitted during the year.
Studio projects are completed on a continuous basis to develop design, analytical and presentation skills.
