Course description
The Postgraduate Diploma in Cybersecurity will enable learners to acquire the skills which are highly sought after by recruiting employers. Jan Carroll, the lecturer delivering this programme, has recently been shortlisted for Cyber Educator of the Year in the EU Cyber Awards 2022. With a recognised shortage of suitably qualified professionals in this market, there is an urgent demand amongst employers to obtain the requisite skills to overcome this imminent challenge. This programme, which draws together two themes of cyber security and user experience will provide learners with the necessary technical knowledge, skills and competence to obtain employment in this growing sector.

Study is part-time and online. Online delivery is supported by an induction day at the beginning of the programme. The informative live webinars (7pm-9pm every Monday and Thursday) will aim to develop participants’ ability to apply knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity and user experience. Participants will attend 5 interactive group sessions (Saturdays). These sessions facilitate discussion and debate and promote the transference of skills and knowledge into the workplace, with guest lectures contributing to these important workshop sessions.

You will also have access to our online student community, webinars, and discussion forums to foster communication with our other students to discuss and resolve issues related to your studies.
Online delivery is supported by an induction day at the beginning of the programme and 5 interactive Saturday sessions throughout the course.

Entry Requirements
We require applicants to hold an undergraduate degree with a classification of 2:2 or above in computing or a 2:1 or above in a relevant non-computing discipline, such as mathematics, statistics or engineering.
If English isn’t your first language, you may need to provide evidence of your English language ability. We accept IELTS at 6.0 overall with no individual component below 5.5 or equivalent.
