Course Description

This course is designed to provide childcare staff, young mother groups or family members first aid training for children and infants.

Learn how to assess a child or infant for injuries, how to apply CPR, take the necessary steps required to treat choking, bleeding, burns and medical certain conditions specific to children.

If you have a particular concern, the instructor will focus on that during the training. It is also a very useful qualification for babysitters, aunts, uncles, grandparents and older siblings. Young mother groups often book in for this course.

Certification: Irish Red Cross certificate

Modules covered: Intro to paediatric first aid, CPR and chocking on children and infants, Wounds and bleeding, altered levels of consciousness, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Burns, Poisons, Medical conditions specific to children.
