Whether you are looking to start a career in FM or enhance your current expertise, this course provides a foundation knowledge and insight into the skills needed to excel in this dynamic field. This 12-week course is designed to provide you with a foundation knowledge of the principles and practices of facilities management (FM).
Course DetailsThis content of this course introduces you to the concepts of facilities management, enhancing your ability to navigate and understand this fast-paced sector. You will gain insight into the methods and skills necessary to complete tasks and solve problems within the FM environment.
Upon completion, you will be awarded a Portobello Institute Certificate in Introduction Facilities Management.
This course also offers the option of completing an IWFM single subject award at UK level 3 entitled Introduction to Facilities Management.
The IWFM qualification is a nationally and internationally recognised qualification in the field of facilities management and you will be required to complete an additional assessment. There is an additional charge of €195 to complete the IWFM assessment for the single award.
What will I study?This module addresses the definition of facilities management, its role within organisations, and how it can be set up in ways that will help the organisation to function more effectively. It addresses the potential impact of an organisation’s arrangements for facilities management on the organisation’s internal environment.
