Course Description:

Welcome to your journey into the world of home DIY! This comprehensive 10-week course is designed specifically for complete beginners in Ireland. Each week, we’ll tackle a different aspect of home improvement, equipping you with the skills and confidence to transform your living space.

Course Breakdown 

Week 1: Painting, wallpapering and tiling

Week 2: Woodwork, shelving and cupboards

Week 3: Glues for household use

Week 4: Doors, windows and home security

Week 5: Walls, ceilings and fireplaces

Week 6: Draught-proofing and insulation

Week 7: Floors and stairs

Week 8: Basic electrics

Week 9: Basic plumbing

Week 10: DIY in garden

Course Day: Monday evening

Time: 7.30 – 9.30 pm

Start Date: 27/01/25

Cost: €150 (this includes all material required for the course and use of tools)

Course Format: In class with tutor in Malahide Community School. Maximum of 12 students

Duration: 10 weeks
