COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE SERVICES 

This Community Healthcare Services course enables the learner to acquire the knowledge, skills and competence to work under supervision in a variety of healthcare settings.  This enables them to enhance their role in service provision to service users or to progress to further and or higher education and training.

Infection Prevention and Control, Communications, Work Experience, Care of the Older Person,  Nutrition, Family Studies, Social Studies, and Care Provision and Practice.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

On successful completion of the Level 5 Health Services Skills Course, students may seek employment in the field of community work.  The course is also aimed at learners who wish to pursue further studies in this area.  They can also apply through CAO and UCAS for a wide range of degree courses.

Successful graduates are eligible to work in a variety of settings which include: Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Day Care Centres, Home Care Assistance or Community Development.
