Course description
This course is aimed at students who wish to enter a career in agriculture, food or science. The Irish food industry is very important to the Irish economy. Irish food companies are becoming some of the most successful food producers in the world. There are currently over 150,000 people employed in this sector. The course also gives a solid introduction to Food Science and Technology for students who wish to pursue a Food Science Degree in Universities and Institutes of Technology both here in Ireland and abroad.

Progression Options
The majority of students progress to Food Science degree courses in Universities and Institutes of Technology both here in Ireland and abroad. This practical course also enables students to apply for employment in the agri-food industry or potentially to start their own business. Graduates can apply for a range of science and non-science degree courses.
