Course description

ICDL (formerly ECDL) and ICT Skills is an excellent course which provides the knowledge and experience necessary for working with information technology in the workplace. A wide range of relevant topics are covered including (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Powerpoint, Computer Essentials, Online Essentials, Online Collaboration ). There are practical projects and hands-on assignments to develop your skills to a high level.

To provide participants with the knowledge, skills and attitude in using computers, to gain employment in an office environment or to go on to Further Training/Education.

The ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence) establishes a standard for everyone who uses a computer in either a professional or personal capacity. It is a certificate that verifies competence in computer use, making the holder readily mobile within Ireland and Internationally. Certificates are awarded for the achievement of major awards, where learners achieve the national standard in a prescribed number or component areas.
