Course description
The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Unit Certificate – Understand how to manage contracts and contractors in the workplace – ideal for anyone responsible procurement and dealing with contracts and contractors for their organisation.
The course topics are:
Briefly outline contract management procedures and tools used in own workplace;
Give an example of a contract that they assist in managing and explain how they do this;
Explain how to communicate all relevant information to contractor(s) in the workplace;
Give an example of a contractor that they manage and explain what information the contractor will require to perform their function safely;
Using the example they have provided explain a control tool that they could use to monitor the contractor’s work; and
Using the example they have provided explain how they could stop a contractor working if the work were unsafe, unauthorised or causing business disruption.
Entry:
Entry is open and no prior qualifications are required.
Certification:
Participants gain the Griffin College Certificate in Managing Contracts and Contractors.
They can also gain the ILM Unit Certificate in Understating How To Manage Contracts and Contractors in the Workplace on completion of o structure written assignment and the payment of an additional fee to the ILM
The ILM which is part of City and Guilds.
Duration and Times
The course runs over 1 day from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm with a break at lunchtime.
The course is delivered online in real time by the tutors.
