Course Description

WHAT IS OFFICE ACCOUNTS,
ADMINISTRATION AND INFORMATION
PROCESSING?
This one-year course in office administration off ers students
the opportunity to gain varied and invaluable skills which
are required to work in the area of business and offi ce
administration roles.
Students will develop competencies needed for working
in various business environments, such as payroll, bookkeeping, spreadsheets, restoring, retrieving and processing
information, along with text production and word
processing.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
This course will suit those who require a more flexible route to progression either in education or employment. Graduates are well placed to apply for degrees at Level 7 and 8 in Technological Universities or private colleges throughout the country. These include TUD, DCU, UCD, Maynooth, Dundalk Institute of Technology, South East Technological University Carlow, Technological University of the Shannon Athlone, DBS and many more. Students may progress to Level 6 awards in Dunboyne College of Further Education. Many graduates will gain employment directly on completion of the course within the office administration and business sectors.
