St. Louis Community School

St. Louis Community School, in Kiltimagh, Mayo, has an outstanding and  long tradition of providing full and part-time courses for school leavers and adults. The college offers full time courses in 5 fields (Sport, Childcare, Hairdressing and Beauty, Business and Nursing and Health) leading to 9 Awards at QQI level 5 or level 6.

College Support:

• Career guidance on a one-to-one and group basis
• Help with study skills, word processing, numeracy and literacy
• Experienced and friendly tutors who will help you to succeed
• Daytime classes between 9am-3.45pm with most timetabled between 10 am – 2:30 pm
• Access to well-equipped IT facilities including internet access, networked printing for research/project work and off-site access to course resources and information via Moodle on the St Louis website
• Certification on the National framework of qualifications through FETAC and other awarding bodies

Students who successfully complete their Level 5 or Level 6 QQI Awards are able to progress to further study or training. Many students go directly into the world of work but increasing numbers progress to higher education opportunities.

Entry Requirements:
All the courses on offer are demanding and we would expect participants to have completed a Leaving Certificate (or Leaving Certificate Applied) level of education or equivalent.
