A booklet explaining the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) and how it can be used. The National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) is a system containing ten levels or tiers each one corresponding with qualifications available from national education providers. Qualifications from lower levels enable learners to move upwards on to higher certification levels. The NFQ is based on standards of knowledge, skill and competence and incorporates awards made for all kinds of learning, wherever it is gained.
