Cúrsa Gramco is a 3 week Irish language course in Áras na Gaeilge, NUI Galway. The course incorporates an understanding of the language so that students become independent learners. Study skills are central to the course so that students learn how to self-assess and progress.
The course is held in the first three weeks of July each year. Students work in a supportive classroom atmosphere. Students’ safety is a priority and therefore they must remain on the Áras na Gaeilge campus for the duration of the morning: 9.00 am to 12.55 pm and are supervised during the 20 min break.
The course covers six different levels from 4th class Primary school right through to Leaving Cert Higher Level. Each student gets a booklet with carefully planned exercises for each different level. Students may retain these booklets for revision purposes for their following year at school.
