Galway Technical Institute is a college of further education situated on the west side of Galway city. The college provides QQI Level 5 & 6 courses to many hundreds of learners each year. Courses at GTI are designed to be practical in nature. As such they can be utilised to gain immediate employment, become self-employed or move onwards with further study and higher education.

For example this may involve learning the role of a sound engineer in a state of the art sound recording studio. Or a film editor or production co-ordinator at CladdaTV. It may also involve working as a Beauty Therapist in GTI’s Poise Salon, or as a designer in GTI’s Annual Fashion Showcase.
